The Best Time of Year to Fly a Paramotor in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai has three distinct seasons, and each gives you a completely different flying experience.
Cool season (November – February)
The best window of the year. Crisp air, clear skies, and fantastic visibility. On some mornings you'll drift above a sea of mist pooling in the valleys — a rare sight.
Best window: Early morning, for golden light and morning mist.
Hot season (March – May)
It's warm, but early morning and late afternoon flights are still great. Haze can appear in March and April — we reschedule if air quality is poor.
Best window: Late afternoon, for a gold-orange sunset.
Rainy season (June – October)
Rice fields turn vivid green and the air feels fresh after rain, but the weather needs close watching. Some days flying isn't possible.
Tip: Book flexibly — we'll reschedule if it rains.
The bottom line
For the most reliable window, aim for November – February. Every season has its own character, though — pick what works for your trip and come fly with us.
